We Had A Handmade Christmas...

Most of the presents we gave were handmade,
I was so proud of TJ, when telling her we weren't doing expensive gifts this year. She was all for it, the only thing she asked for was a game of Monopoly, which was certainly do-able! It ended up after many trips to charity shops looking for a second hand Monopoly that we had several family games, but lot's of handmade stuff too.

However, I didn't think to take photo's of all the gifts I made before giving them away

TJ's favourite gift was "Mr Scruffles", a crochetted dog. She loved him so much that today I finished making a matching cat (yes really that's what it's supposed to be anyway!) for her, which she really loves too. So those I did manage to get a picture of, and here are they..

Some other things I made as gifts were, two pairs of fingerless gloves, purses, lavender bags (sewn) a beautiful knitted waistcoat (knitted), a 'sham-balla' bracelet and a cookie recipe in a jar.

I didn't get as much done as I'd intended as I had some knitting jobs to do for a local yarn shop in the run up to Christmas, so things were a bit more manic than I'd expected!

Finally Up And Running!

I've had this blogspot a VERY long time, can't remember exactly how long, but i'm pretty sure I had it before I met my husband, so that would put it at least 7 years ago! But I've never before actually got around to doing anything with it.. so i thought it was time!

*hugs*
