We Had A Handmade Christmas...
Most of the presents we gave were handmade,I was so proud of TJ, when telling her we weren't doing expensive gifts this year. She was all for it, the only thing she asked for was a game of Monopoly, which was certainly do-able! It ended up after many trips to charity shops looking for a second hand Monopoly that we had several family games, but lot's of handmade stuff too.
However, I didn't think to take photo's of all the gifts I made before giving them away!
TJ's favourite gift was "Mr Scruffles", a crochetted dog. She loved him so much that today I finished making a matching cat (yes really that's what it's supposed to be anyway!) for her, which she really loves too. So those I did manage to get a picture of, and here are they..
Some other things I made as gifts were, two pairs of fingerless gloves, purses, lavender bags (sewn) a beautiful knitted waistcoat (knitted), a 'sham-balla' bracelet and a cookie recipe in a jar.
I didn't get as much done as I'd intended as I had some knitting jobs to do for a local yarn shop in the run up to Christmas, so things were a bit more manic than I'd expected!
